Once you've created a POPin session, it’s time to invite your targeted participants!
We will cover the tactical 'how to' steps in this article, but we also encourage reading up on the following topics so you get optimal engagement:
It's important that you've already built awareness about POPin with the individuals you expect to participate.
It's important that you help your targeted participants build an understanding of how to use POPin. (Adding a selfie video to your session can help!)
The Participant Access Setting you established during your POPin session creation process will effect your participants' journey.
How to invite others to participate in your POPin session:
Use a share link
This is the most common method used by POPin Creators. When you 'Save and Preview' your POPin during the session creation process, the application will prompt you to copy and share a unique link for that given session.
Selecting the Copy button will place the link on your Clipboard so you can paste it to your preferred communication platform(s)—email, intranet, MS Teams, Slack, etc.
Use POPin Live
POPin's Live View is a read-only presentation mode that displays a real-time feed of top responses and average ratings based on the question(s) you ask your 'audience.' It's a great tactic for engaging a live crowd, such as at a company-wide meeting or customer event.
Once you create your POPin session and enter the Live View, you'll see instructions on how participants can join in the left-hand frame of the screen. Participants will simply visit popin.live from their mobile device or computer and enter the six character code to join instantly!
Send a POPin Customized Message (applicable to Private POPins only)
When Private POPin sessions are created, there is an additional screen presented after clicking 'Save & Preview.' In this screen, you'll add your target participants' email addresses. From there, you can send a Customized Message to the entered addresses. (You'll also be able to copy and share your session link if that's your preferred share method.)
If you go the Customize Message route:
POPin will open your default mail application and pre-populate a new message window. (If a new message window does not automatically open, you may need to update your system settings.)
By default, the message will put all invited participants in the BCC field to keep anonymity.
Obviously, you can edit any of the language. This template just gets you started with some suggested copy and the share link.
